Senior Software Engineer, Cloud Software Development
Role Overview
As a Senior Software Engineer in the Cloud Software Engineering team, you will design, develop, and operate production-grade distributed systems that power vehicle, charging, and mobile platforms. You will own complex services end-to-end and lead projects from technical design through implementation, deployment, and production operations, while working closely with cross-functional partners and contributing to the technical direction of the team.
Key Responsibilities
· Design, develop, and operate scalable cloud services and distributed systems.
· Own services through design, development, deployment, and production support
· Lead technical design discussions and code reviews
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, and Mobile
· Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in distributed environments
· Leverage AI effectively across the SDLC to accelerate development, improve quality, and reduce toil
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
· 5+ years of professional software development experience
· Strong proficiency in Golang, Java, C#, or Python
· Production experience with cloud-native platforms and Kubernetes
· Experience with NoSQL databases and event-driven architectures
Preferred Qualifications
· Strongly desirable: Proficiency in AI-Native Software Engineering, including effective use of AI tools and agents across requirements, design, coding, testing, debugging, code review, documentation, and operational workflows.
· Experience designing APIs for high-availability systems
· Knowledge of Kafka, MQTT, or similar messaging technologies
· Frontend development experience (for example, React, TypeScript, or modern web application development) is a plus
· Experience mentoring junior engineers
